Gear Hoarders: Buried Alive

My fellow inmates,

Ok, so I took a nice picture for this one, the other side of the room at the moment is a mountain of gear, the bed in the back is a mountain of gear, WetsuitJay and My bedrooms both have gear in them...

And yet this morning I caught myself telling him when we take a roadtrip over the 4th of July, if this antique store still had that pair of fox motocross boots...

"Don't worry, we can put them on eBay if nothing else"

Yet we never do. This is a sickness...

You shall be seeing us on the discovery channel soon with people digging through the stacks...

"...Look at this, there is a brand new set of football pads here and... Wait a second, why is it sticky?"

We love our gear, and living in Seattle and being the fact we hit thriftstores, yard sales and estate sales all the time, it's here, its everywhere.

At one of the parties someone popped their head in to the playroom and said "Wow, somone had a lot of money to spend."

Actually we don't. We are just good at picking up a piece here and a piece there at awesome prices.

And yes, logic dictates that there comes a point that we should stop. A friend even said to me at one point "My god, don't you have enough gear?"

Yet I ask, is there such a thing?

I have decided that I shall be redecorating my room in gear, it puts it all at hand and it will look good to, get some of the stuff out of the playroom.

It appears that we shall have a winter project of setting up a playroom at our home on the Island. Call it the Asylum North

It's not that we are trying to keep up with the Kardashians...

Wait, does Kim Kardashian have a playroom? Ok, I think I just puked a little.

It's coming down to necessity. Lord knows we are not going to stop buying gear, just open any closet in our home and you shall find more...

And to think, 3 years ago my personal collection could have barely covered the floor of a hallway closet...

We are in big trouble :-)

With that visiting time is over

Whatever you do, don't scream too loud as others are trying to sleep.
