Gear Review: Stearns VR Versatile Rescue Vest

My fellow inmates,

Day 4, The Asylum Challenge...

As Promised, Asylum's first gear review... Let's start with one of the newest toys at the asylum: the Sterns VR Versatile Rescue Vest...

Wait, you say, Sterns? Vest? You mean like life jacket?!! You must be joking...

Oh no my naive little rubberpervs... Please do not confuse my random hysterics with joking...

...And before you click away, I ask you to hear me out. For hiding within the guise of a lifejacket, is a top notch piece of bondage gear....

Built in to this vest is a rescue harness that offers quite a bit of potential...

Since the vest is made for water rescues, the straps or strap loops don't have the danger of ripping out... And while we are restraint straps, this vest is dripping in them...

From 5 cross body straps, 2 crotch straps, shoulder straps tighten, and a tow strap that circles the chest with a large O ring in the center of the back..

So why should this matter to me you ask...

A few reasons...

First, the fact that all straps are reinforced means strong anchor points all over the torso that won't rip out...

Attach his mitts anywhere along his torso, then lock a chain from the o-ring on his back to any static point....

The crotch straps will guarantee he won't slip out, and besides, ant time he pulls on the chain, the chest strap shall tighten down on him.

Speaking of this, these vests also offer the best hogtie option available.

Run the rope or straps from his ankles through the o ring on his back, then attach the wrists to the same o-ring.

Now the whole hogtie is supported on his chest rather than the wrists. This position can be held for much longer and with much more enjoyment.

Priced at an average of 160.00, this vest is cheaper than many bondage vests of equal inescapeability I have seen, it also has the added plus of being heavily padded, and it floats...

Hot tub or swimming pool bondage anyone?

Besides, it makes a great gift... Lord knows my Christmas morning was much more entertaining when I found this pervable under the tree for me :)

My gear factor ratings shall be based on strengths, weaknesses, shortcuts, overkills, usability as designed and pervability beyond initial intentions...

With that said:

Gear Factor Rating: 5/5

With that visiting time is over...

Whatever you do don't scream too loud as others are trying to sleep.
